STRUCTURAL & SEISMIC UPGRADES
In many cases where an existing structure is in place and needs to be modified, shotcrete is the only practical concrete application methodology. Erecting two-sided forms within confined space is often extremely difficult if not impossible. The flexibility of shotcrete and its ability to be applied in a variety of customized manners makes it the perfect choice for bolstering and retro-fitting existing infrastructure.

Telus Communications Upgrade - North Vancouver
The Telus communications hub in North Vancouver required a significant seismic upgrade but needed to stay open during retrofitting and restoration to ensure essential ongoing communications were not impacted. Due to the complexity of adding shear walls and upgrading existing infrastructure, conventional form-and-pour formwork was simply not a viable option. Air-placed Shotcrete provided the only solution for the very complicated vertical portions of the project and Torrent was able to execute with exceptional architectural finish quality.
